Inner Circle confirmed brets vs TK, allegedly said they're getting a healthy number of new releases, new ToW stuff to come out on a regular basis of 3-6 months for next 2 years.

 

He also said that GW is pretty confident that it's going to be a success, but the one thing that could "harm" the game to an extent is their production capacity (they're allegedly already struggling to produce enough of the stuff they already have in offer - sounds like a good problem to have though).

 

IIRC (but it's possible that I don't), he was sceptical of 2023 release, perhaps late in the year.

Tempo di Q&A! Di seguito quello che è stato detto post diretta. Niente di risolutivo ma qualche piccolo spoiler extra su old world c'è!

- Bretonnia: non c'è verso, non si sbottonano. Ciò che si è visto oggi è tutto ciò che sono disposti a rivelare fino ad ora. Ma ci saranno sicuramente modelli nuovi che non abbiamo ancora visto nel range.
- Back-compatibility: hai un'armata di AoS? Difficilmente la potrai usare in questo setting. Le Varanguard insomma te le scordi. AoS e Old World sono due cose diverse. Hanno chiesto se si potranno usare i nuovi seraphon, la risposta è "ni". Alcuni modelli saranno compatibili, in relazione con il setting, altri no. Ovviamente per giocarli andrà tutto messo su basetta quadrata o su movement tray compatibile.
- Nani del Caos: niente nuovi modelli. Avranno le regole per giocarli ma niente di nuovo.
- Skaven e Tileani: come i nani del caos, non sono esattamente il focus.
- Ruleset: molto simile a Warhammer fantasy battle, un po' come Horus Heresy ricorda il 40k ma avrà un set di regole tutto suo, che riprende le parti migliori delle vecchie edizioni del fantasy. Come supplementi: ci sarà un mix di nuovi libri di fazione rilasciati in formato fisico e regole rilasciate in digitale.
- "Non è esattamente un gioco per nuovi giocatori", purtroppo è molto più veteran-friendly che non new-player friendly. Ma ci saranno box dedicati che aiuteranno i nuovi giocatori a cominciare.
- Basette: verrà rilasciato un supplemento apposito prima della release di Old World.
- "Ci sarà molta più plastica di prima!"
- NIENTE FINECAST! La resina sarà quella Forgia. Il resto un mix di plastica e metallo.

Cathay is "in the very far future"
The best thing to do to prepare is "paint your models, dont base them unless youre very confident"
High Elves are seemingly one of those "old world focus" factions
Bretonnia is confirmed getting new units (meaning actually new units, not just new models for old units)
Upgraded kits are possible, but new models are more likely.
There WILL be boxes for an easy jumping on point (army boxes?)

New info - Chaos Dwarfs will have rules

Rules will come in part as online resources for all armies as well as new books for the included factions in the setting

No e' un rumors ma uno statement ufficiale nel seminario Q&A e maldestramente rettificato su Twitter.

Ho postato prima la foto ufficiale dove spiega che tutti gli eserciti di ottava avranno le regole , ma solo quelli che sono parte del vecchio mondo geografico/setting avranno nuove uscite.
Qualcuno ha chiesto di Skaven e hanno detto che non sono tra le armate in focus mentre gli alti elfi si perche' hanno "icone" sulla mappa.

Hasting e' un rumormonger di vecchia data e fino ad adesso ci ha sempre preso:" la maggior parte delle nuove uscite sara' resina (forge world)

Il kit in plastica del bretoniano si e' rivelato essere di resina ...

ToW è un progetto pensato per rivolgersi a persone già nell'hobby, non nuove leve al primo wargame, e per questo non è nei piani l'uscita di una scatola introduttiva (con opuscolo, miniature easy to build e plancia in cartone), esattamente come è successo per HH

My understanding is the focus and timeline will move with each episodic narrative release

Yea, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but a large part of this project will be resin.

From what I hear there's not much in the way of "new" plastic kits, not much at all

I'm hearing things surrounding different "issues" from proposed price points to actual ruleset.

There's quite a bit more news, but I'm not inclined to post more yet. Sadly, it's not sounding great by any stretch of the imagination.

But it is now *definitely* scheduled for Jan.

Bear in mind that Rob is the original source of the Tomb Kings v Brets starter box rumour.

Which lines up with what Valrak has been saying in that Legions Imperialis took over the Nov. slot

Nuovi rumors by l'odiato hastings (che purtroppo cmq ci ha preso su quasi tutto quello che aveva detto tocca dirlo)

 

 

Well, I hear there's only 2 new (plastic) kits for TK, one a hero/lord on chariot, the other a unit of sand mummies (whatever that means).

The (not) starter box (TK v Brets) will drop last week Jan/first week Feb at a cost of 185 gbp. It contains only plastic models, so none of the new resins, old resin/metal minis, although these will launch at around the same time, possibly even the following week/fortnight, along with standalone rulebook and plastics from the not starter box. There will be some "quality of life" stuff the following month (plastic templates, dice etc.), and in late summer another box of Orcs vs Empire, apparently O&G get one new plastic kit (possibly boar chariot) and empire gets 3 plastic kits. There is a new "narrative" book to go alongside these releases, as the first release the components from this bunch will release "soon"™ afterwards, along with a couple of NEW resin pieces for both, one of which is a named Orc character.

I was hearing a lot of negative stuff about the very very very high proposed cost of rereleased plastic boxes....... however it's now been confirmed by the WHC page that the boxes will contain MORE mini than previously, I think they said the peasant bowmen for example will come in a box of 32, so this would (I HOPE!) account for the exceedingly high price points I heard being banded around.

I want to love this project, but the half-arsed nature of it, the absolute AGE it has taken to show what? 7 new minis, 2 of which are plastic kits, and the lack of monetary investment from GW to at least make the launch poster boys armies have the WOW factor with a bunch of new plastic kits, really kills my enthusiasm. Plus we know the track record when it comes these things.... Aeronautica Imperialis, mostly discontinued, but even when it was a live product you couldn't buy a starter box - even from GW - for over 18 months!, AT, Blood Bowl, 1 team released in the last 18 months, the list for systems that support has died on it's arse within a few short years is foreshadowing this release for me, especially even more so because they aren't even willing to invest in it, AND are starting it out with the same stupid shit that killed it - massive model count and inaccessibility due to the financial commitment.

I have heard that the TK chariot is beautiful, and having seen the new Bret stuff I don't doubt that.
